Hi, I’m Kimberley, the owner of Doggy Dawdles.
Doggy Dawdles was founded in June 2021 after I decided to turn my lifelong passion for animals into a career. What began as a dog walking business has grown into a trusted pet care service, providing dog training, canine behaviour support, pet sitting, wedding chaperone services and professional dog walking throughout East Lothian and beyond.
Like many dog owners, I’ve experienced the challenge of balancing work, family life and everyday commitments while making sure my own pets received the care, exercise and attention they deserved. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets as if they were their own.
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, but I also know that every dog is an individual. They each have their own personality, learning style, likes, dislikes and emotional needs. My goal is always to build trust, develop confidence and create positive experiences using ethical, science-based methods that put your dog’s welfare first.
I’m proud to have achieved the ISCP Diploma in Canine Behaviour with Distinction (ISCP.Dip.Canine.Prac), alongside additional professional qualifications in canine behaviour and canine health and nutrition. I believe learning never stops, and I regularly continue my professional development to ensure I’m providing the very best care and support for every dog and owner I work with.
Whether we’re out enjoying an enriching countryside walk, working through a training session, supporting a rescue dog to build confidence, helping prepare a puppy for life, or making sure your dog is part of your wedding day, every service I provide is tailored to the individual dog in front of me.

For dogs joining my walking services, every relationship starts slowly. New dogs remain on lead while we build trust together and assess their recall before any off-lead exercise is considered. Your dog’s safety will always come first.
My aim has always been simple: to provide the same standard of care, kindness and respect that I would expect for my own pets.

Building trust starts from our very first meeting. I’ll take the time to get to know both you and your pet, answer any questions you may have and make sure you feel confident before any services begin.
With more than 25 years’ experience around dogs and an extensive background in animal care, I understand that every animal is unique. Their age, health, personality and previous experiences all influence how they should be cared for.
I’m also happy to work alongside your veterinary practice, behaviourist, groomer or any other professionals involved in your pet’s care to ensure they receive consistent support.
While you’re away, I’ll keep you updated with messages and photographs so you can relax knowing your pets are safe, happy and enjoying themselves.
